How would you unlock and jailbreak an iphone 3g?

I had an Itouch and jailbroke that and it was brilliant. Iv’e sold it and bought an iphone that’s locked, im not sure to which provider though as ive not got it yet and bought it on ebay. If its the same privider as i already have do i need to unlock it or will it run with my sim card? if not how would i unlock it? and then jailbreak it?

   There are loads of 3rd party unlocking service providers around, just have google the term ‘unlock iphone’ and you’ll see heaps.

   If you want a recommendation, I used these guys and I’ve been running my 3G on T-Mobile for 6 months now without a problem.
